Apailana (32 BBY-18 BBY) was Queen of Naboo from 19 to 18 BBY, succeeding Neeyutnee and preceding Kylantha.
Biography[]
Apailana was born in 32 BBY, and she was elected as Queen of Naboo at the age of twelve in 19 BBY. Padme Amidala and Jamillia, former queens, were her inspirations for her rule, and Senator Amidala supported her election. She was one of the people who walked in Amidala's funeral procession after her death, and she was an enemy of the Galactic Empire's leader Palpatine, whose enforcer Darth Vader was partly responsible for Amidala's death. In 18 BBY, Darth Vader sent the 501st Legion to Naboo when he found out that Apailana gave refuge to members of the Jedi Order fleeing from the Great Jedi Purge. The stormtroopers massacred her security guards and the Jedi before a sniper shot her in the back of the head, killing her. Kylantha was installed as the new queen, as she appeared to be pro-Empire.
